On TikTok, what does it mean to ‘peg’ someone?
The term “peg” on TikTok refers to the same thing that it does in the real world outside of the realm of social media.
The word “peg” comes from the phrase “to peg,” which describes the situation in which women “take charge” of males during intimate moments shared by partners.

Users are spreading the hashtag #PegAllMen2020 on TikTok not with the intention of convincing all females to “peg” their partners, but rather in an effort to challenge patriarchy and demonstrate that women are capable of anything men are capable of doing, whether it be inside or outside the bedroom.
Television programs such as Broad City discussed the issue as far back as 2015, thus by the year 2020, it has most certainly become more commonplace.
Where did the hashtag #PegAllMen2020 originate?
The campaign got its start in April of 2020 when a user who did not wish to be identified released a TikTok in which she expressed her displeasure with the disrespectful direct messages (DMs) she had been receiving.
She humiliates the senders by asserting that she will treat them the same way because they are “within pegging distance.” Be on the lookout!

This fad was now begun by the youngster from Chicago, and it’s not just ladies who have joined the bandwagon; some gentlemen have as well.
Some users have argued that it challenges toxic masculinity as well, which is the idea that conventional gender roles have pressured men to suppress their feelings and act in a masculine manner.
